ProTech Plumbing Solutions is a residential and commercial plumbing service provider catering to customers in the San Francisco Bay Area. Despite their high-quality services, they were facing a shortage of jobs in the Oakland, California market. To address this, they partnered with Offshore Marketers, a renowned SEO company, for a tenure of 6 months.

The Strategy:

Offshore Marketers devised a comprehensive SEO strategy that included keyword optimization, aggressive bidding, unique content creation, and targeted ad copy based on search queries. The campaigns were traditionally running and often exhausted early in the day, before most people in the area were awake. Offshore Marketers seized the opportunity to optimize campaign scheduling, add additional keywords, and aggressively bid on competitive keywords.

Results

  1. Click Optimization: By modifying the match types of keywords to focus on more exact search queries and writing more compelling and targeted ad copy for plumbing customers in the San Francisco Bay Area, we saw a 400% improvement in the number of clicks generated from the PPC ads.
  2. Click Through Rate Optimization: We worked on improving quality scores with ad copy and keywords that more accurately described the searchers’ intent and goals, in addition to targeting landing pages that have a higher probability of creating conversions. With these changes, we saw a 105% improvement in the number of clicks generated from the PPC ads.
  3. Cost Per Click Optimization: We worked on aggressively lowering first page and minimum bids. We also worked on finding effective keywords with more affordable estimated costs per click. With these changes, we saw a reduction in the cost per click by 30%.
  4. Average Position Optimization: By improving the quality scores of the keywords associated with the campaign via improved relevance (including increasing click-through rate, relevance of keywords to their associated ad groups, improving landing page relevance and keyword optimization, and adjusting relevance of the ad text) we were able to improve the average position of the ads, therefore increasing the client’s clicks and conversions.

The budget for this six-month campaign was $15,000, which was allocated across various activities such as keyword research, content creation, ad creation, and campaign management.
